I awake to silver walls
and single digit centigrade
a sheet over my body
and a tag upon my toe
in the air the smell of ozone
in my mind is just a void
I'll go where answers can be found
kick the door and smash it down

As I walk these halls how my mind races
Widened eyes inside of staring faces
But none of them can fill these empty spaces
Who am I?

Lightning flashes in from shattered windows
as I'm wandering
bare feet on a concrete floor
with rain beneath my toes
in these crooked mirrors
there's a face that I don't recognize
on my knees oh how I cry
arms spread wide, eyes to the sky

Is this all as strange as it is seeming?
Was I dead or was I only dreaming?
Up into the thunder I am screaming

I was charged with a vital task
